Our Services

Investigators

We conduct comprehensive investigations, collecting the testimonial and documentary evidence needed to determine credibility and make factual findings. Through an objective lens, we assist K-12 schools and institutions of higher education to implement Title IX requirements, and businesses to promptly and succinctly respond to allegations of harassment and discrimination. We recognize that no two investigations are the same. Our goal is to provide the information necessary to allow thoughtful decision-making, regulatory compliance, and a stronger and safer community.

Hearing Officials and
Panel Chairs/Members

We adjudicate disputes as a single-person decision- maker or as a member of a hearing panel. Consistent with the applicable legal- or policy-based framework, we ensure a complete and well-developed factual record.  We focus on the matters in dispute and author decisions that are well-reasoned, using plain language to explain our findings. We manage all aspects of the discovery and prehearing process. We operate with confidentiality, compassion, and sensitivity for everyone who appears before us.

Mediators/Title IX Informal Process Facilitators

As experienced mediators and facilitators, we provide a forum for participants to be heard and have meaningful input into the dispute resolution process. We value all ideas, traditional and creative, to solve problems, and ensure that each participant has the opportunity to contribute and collaborate. As active listeners, we strive to help participants identify what is most important to them, with the goal for reaching a resolution that reflects those priorities. Whether arising from an agency adjudicatory process, an informal Title IX process, or a workplace dispute, we apply principles from facilitative, evaluative, and restorative practice, as appropriate, to facilitate a resolution acceptable to all participants.

Advisors and Support Persons

Consistent with Title IX requirements and institutional policy, we offer support for students and employees involved in a Title IX complaint. We provide policy and process guidance, assist in drafting responses to investigation reports, conduct cross-examinations of parties and witnesses at hearings, prepare parties for hearings, and support advisees throughout a difficult process.
